Aspen Shakti Collective Owner/Founder, Jayne Gottlieb, and Olympic Snowboarder and Spiritual Psychology facilitator, Gretchen Bleiler, are teaming up once again to offer a one of a kind week-long retreat ceremony held in the wild and enlivening jungle of Nosara, Costa Rica.
At the heart of the retreat we’ll weave Spiritual Psychology inner processes with Body ALIVE and Yoga to feel, authentically express, and take radical responsibility for the parts of us we’ve been holding in the dark. This is all as a means to illuminate, heal, and Awaken into the fully alive life that has always been our birthright.
You're invited to join us in a truly unique ceremony offering that effortlessly balances rest, transformation, fun, adventure, and community within a week-long container held on the coastline of Costa Rica in the heart of the jungle in Nosara.
Our programming will weave together Gretchen's expertise in Spiritual Psychology inner processes to courageously go into the dark and illuminate areas in your life where you’ve been using withholding, resistance, and self-betrayal to play small. When we shine the light on “why,” it gives us the freedom to choose a different way. These inner partner processes give you the Awareness plus the tools to get yourself back, along with the realization that life has always been here for us to wake up to our brilliance.
Then through Jayne's movement shamanism, we'll practice embodying those Awarenesses as we shake, stomp, dance, love and release those self-imposed limitations and misbeliefs we were holding, so that we can instead be moved to the depths of our soul in Body Alive and Yoga.
Other modalities we'll practice include breathwork, meditation, as well as adventuring into the local culture with activities like surfing, speaking spanish, and dancing salsa!

Having lived at high altitude in Aspen’s incredible mountains for almost 30 years, I need low altitude water resets. Jayne and Gretchen provide just that with their Shakti retreats. I’ve been to one in Tulum, one in NY, and last year went to Nosara, Costa Rica. I had been there before and even at one point owned land with the intention of having a second home there. I am so excited that now I have the perfect reason and mode to return to this sacred water climate because of Shakti.
Coming out of a busy and snowy winter, we dove in (literally) from day 1 into the water with surfing, but also into our own personal growth with breathing instruction, meditation, dancing and yoga from morning until night based on our own needs. The sounds of water and jungle, local food and also locals welcoming our group (thanks to Gretchen’s time exploring and becoming a part of this special place) made this trip more than just a visit to a new,cool destination. I needed to do something different, since what I was doing was not working for me. I took a leap of faith and signed up for the Illume retreat and it was life changing. I found a new community and a new sense of purpose. Being in a jungle, surrounded by nature and around like minded individuals, I found peace and joy.
